Discovery Research Group / Prof. Hannu Toivonen

Organisational unit: Research Group

Organisation Profile

The Discovery Research Group works on artificial intelligence and data science, especially on computational creativity and data mining. In our vision, data analysis is used to make intelligent systems or agents aware of their environments as well as of themselves. Eventually, this leads to self-aware systems that can modify their own behaviour in creative ways as well as explain their behaviours to users. We are particularly interested in data science and text mining/generation applications.
