Eino Partanen

Description of research and teaching

I am a cognitive neuroscientist, lecturer and work as a clinical neuropsychologist from time to time. Specifically, I teach clinically relevant skills to students, give talks for various professionals on learning, development, the brain and similar topics, but also on more general issues, such as how to cope with work stress and such. In addition, I organize conferences and public events, with more projects being planned related to scientific outreach and dissemination of scientific knowledge to the general public. As I have degrees in both science and psychology, my scientific work combines programming, digital signal processing and clinical psychology. My research interests lie mainly in speech perception, infant auditory capabilities and their development, language development and methodological innovations. My spare time is mostly spent on dancing.
