2011 M.Sc., University of Helsinki, Department of physics.

2009 B.Sc., University of Copenhagen, Department of chemistry.

3. Current position:

4. Language skills: Danish (native), English (fluent), German (elementary proficiency), Finnish (basic)

5. Previous professional appointments:

9/2011-7/2015 Researcher, Univ. of Helsinki

6/2010-8/2011 Research assistant, Univ. of Helsinki

6. Main research interests

My main research topic is to investigate the drivers of both induced and constitutive production and emission of biogenic volatile organic compounds from trees and forest floor and how these emissions influence the chemical composition of the atmosphere. It is very important to study these aspects, since biogenic volatile organic compounds influence atmospheric aerosol formation and growth in forested areas and thus contribute to climate change. My previous research topics have for example included investigations of the atmospheric reactivity in the boreal forest ecosystem. I have published 18 papers in peer-review international journals. My H factor is 8 and my papers have been cited 238 times in international journals.

7. Major research funding

2017-2020 Academy of Finland research post as Postdoctoral Researcher, 268634 Euros

2017-2020 Post-doctoral position at the Kumpula Science Campus (Faculty of Natural Sciences, Uni of Helsinki)

2014-2016 ATM-DP position (the Doctoral Program in Atmospheric Sciences)

2012-2013 ACCC position (the doctoral program Atmospheric Composition and Climate Change: From Molecular Processes to Global Observations and Models)

8. Pedagogical training and Major teaching duties

University Pedagogics 2 Constructive alignment in course design, 5 ETCS

MSc/PhD level:

- Biological processes in the biosphere-atmosphere system. 5 credits (2017) in English, Estonian University of Life Sciences. Duration of my lecture: 60 min. I composed the lecture slides and gave the lecture.

- Advanced analysis of atmospheric processes and feedbacks and atmosphere-biosphere interactions. 5 credits (2017) in English, Univ. of Helsinki. Teaching assistant.

- Air chemistry, 5 credits (2014) in English, Univ. of Helsinki. I solemnly developed the curriculum. I created most of the teaching material (lecture slides, exercises, exams). The total duration of all lectures: 1170 min. Duration of the lectures I gave: 900 min.

- Summer school in Atmosphere Modelling, 5 credits (2013) in English, Univ. of Helsinki and Lund Univ. I was involved with planning of the curriculum. I created part of the teaching material (lecture slides, model solutions, model inputs, the upshot model concerning atmospheric chemistry). I gave lectures and helped the students with developing their own atmospheric models. Duration of my lectures: 270 min.

- Atmospheric Modelling 1, 5 credits (2012) in English, Univ. of Helsinki. I was involved with planning of the curriculum. I created part of the teaching material (lecture slides, model solutions, model inputs, the upshot model concerning atmospheric chemistry). I gave lectures and helped the students with developing their own atmospheric models. Duration of my lectures: 360 min.

- Introduction to Modern Atmospheric Science, 5 credits (2015 & 2014) in English, Univ. of Helsinki. Duration of my lectures: 180 (2014) and 90 min (2015). I composed the lecture slides and the corresponding exercises and gave the lectures.

- Forests and peatlands as modifiers of atmospheric composition, 4 credits (2016 & 2015 & 2014 & 2013) in English, Univ. of Helsinki. Total duration of my lectures for all years: 360 min. I composed the lecture slides and gave the lectures.
