Docent/Adjunct Professor Lotta Aunio in the University Lecturer of Bantu Languages at the University of Helsinki. Her PhD from 2004 is a description of the Ha language, a Bantu language from Western Tanzania. In her research, Aunio has focused on description of Bantu languages, specifically phonology and tonology. Aunio has also worked on South African languages.
At the University of Helsinki, Aunio teaches African Studies, Swahili languages and Linguistics.
