Research interests:

  • The grammaticalization of evidentiality, modality, intersubjectivity and related functions
  • Morphosyntax, language variation and change, language contact
  • Uralic languages, Siberian languages, Samoyedic languages
  • Fieldwork, language documentation, typology

Currently (2018 ->) I'm working at the Institute for the Languages of Finland. At the University of Helsinki: 2015-2017 Post Doctoral Researcher in the project "Interactional, cross-linguistic, theoretical and areal perspectives on evidentiality and egophoricity" (EVIDEGO) at thegeneral linguistics unit; 2011-2014 Doctoral student at The Department of Finnish, Finno-Ugrian and Scandinavian Studies, full-time PhD position in Langnet - doctoral programme in language studies; 2011-2012 project coordinator in MinorEuRus project on minority languages; 2010 project coordinator in FIN-CLARIN project on language resources and language technology; 2006-2009 amanuensis at the former Department of Finno-Ugric studies.
