Mikko Ketola

Description of research and teaching

I'm University Lecturer in Church History at the Department of Church History, Faculty of Theology, University of Helsinki. My doctoral dissertation, published by the Finnish Society of Church History in 2000, was ”The Nationality Question in the Estonian Evangelical-Lutheran Church, 1918–1939”. After that, I have published several articles on Baltic church history, and the history of the Catholic church in the 20th and 21st centuries. I'm currently writing a monograph on the Estonian Evangelical-Lutheran Church during the Second World War.
