Sari Autio-Sarasmo


Description of research and teaching

University lecturer Sari Autio-Sarasmo (the title of docent in general history) is the director of the international MA programme in Russian Studies. Her recent publications focus on the economic history of the Cold War and especially on the Soviet technological modernization in the Cold War context. The time frame of her research comprises the 20th and 21st centuries focusing on the Cold War era and on the contemporary developments in Russia. Her current research project is about the innovative economy and digitalization in Russia and how Russia is able to meet these challenges created by the global economy.
