Description of research and teaching

I am university lecturer in museum studies, responsible for the Masters-level museum studies curriculum. My research interests include community engagement in cultural heritage and museums, archaeology and metal detecting, dark/difficult heritage, cultural heritage crime, and museum security. I am Principal Investigator on the project SuALT, which is an Academy of Finland consortium project aimed at developing an open source research infrastructure for archaeological discoveries made and reported by the public in Finland. I am open to supervision of doctoral researchers interested in issues around museums and heritage.
